I don’t know why but I felt the need to needle-felt a fried egg. And make it a happy one. So here we are- a happy fried eggy!
This life-size egg is made by needle felting with natural wool fibres and it is indeed happy. Eggy has a happy little smile, rosy cheeks and cute little glass eyes.
This fried egg is life-size (more or less) but I will be making more in different sizes and I will definitely be making some hanging fried eggs too!
Size: 13.2cm x 10cm x 2.2cm (height of the yolk).
Needle felting is the process of using specially designed barbed needles to manipulate wool fibres into 3d objects, such as soft sculpture figurines, or into a solid fabric. It is quite a long process and patience is needed but it is so absorbing, very rewarding and thoroughly enjoyable!
I always use compostable gift wrap and packaging.
