All of the jewellery pieces in this Folksy shop are handmade by myself in a lovely, shed studio in my back garden.
The handmade jewellery I make is inspired by nature, the coastline of my home Island of Mersea, meaningful words and the joy of simplicity.
Handmade in recycled sterling silver, recycled gold, sterling silver, copper, 14ct gold filled, and occasionally brass. Semi-precious stones, precious stones and beads are also featured in my work.

I love the colour combination of dark grey and pink, and with the addition of gold, the colours really pop.

Full description
These playful earrings feature handmade sterling silver hoops, which have been oxidised to blacken the silver to a dark charcoal grey. Attached to these hoops are faceted round 6mm cherry quartz beads. The bead wire and earring posts and scrolls are 14ct gold filled.
Cherry quartz is a more intense pink, a salmon pink rather than a delicate pink you find in rose quartz. Cherry quartz is a man made stone, that involves melting quartz and infusing it with cinnabar (mercury sulfide).
Gold filled in like gold plate but much more durable, as it has many layers of gold over the base metal (often brass).
The earrings measure 6.6cm in length, with a width of 2.8cm.
Already handmade, these earrings are dispatched within 1-3 working days. Posted by for Royal Mail special delivery. This service does require a signature.
