Full description
A brown hare sitting on a grass covered base. This model has been sculpted using a needle felting technique. Core woollen fibres are bound together and sculpted into shape using a barbed felting needle. Once formed the body is covered with a top coat in appropriate colours. The feet and legs have been formed by wrapping wool over wire to add strength and stability. The eyes are also needle felted and horsehair whiskers have been added. The hare has been mounted on an oval shaped piece of plywood covered in artificial grass.
This hare measures approximately 22cm tall with the oval base measuring 15cm x 9cm.
This is an ornamental sculpture, and is not intended as a toy.
