This is a more "grown up" version of my sand-powered automaton based on a Victorian toy. The acrobat is moved by sand inside the box that trickles down over a paddle wheel moving the figure backwards and forwards at random. No Batteries required. The mechanism is started by turning the box clockwise once, which fills a funnel inside the box with sand. While the funnel slowly empties itself, the acrobat performs his tricks.
It is 27cm x 22cm x 8cm in size. Shipping within the UK is free, worldwide shipping is available at cost.
