I’ve always loved pop up books and illustration, and would spend hours poring over them as a child, always trying to spot a little detail which might have escaped me or been deliberately hidden by the artist. I love detail, decoration and discovery in others’ creations - whether in a drawing, an unexpected object turned into a something extraordinary, or a garden full of hidden surprises - and try to evoke that feeling of delight through my own creations.

Full description
Hand-drawn and painted pop-up tunnel book in ink and watercolour. Let me create this in your team’s colours! Constructed with 5 layers of watercolour paper into a 3D scene depicting a football game with the Reds scoring a goal and the home crowd going wild. Size 10cm x 7cm.
Each layer of the scene is painstakingly drawn, painted and then carefully cut by hand and assembled and adjusted to create the perfect diorama.
One of a collection of ‘Happy Places’ - each scene providing a moment of escape, discovery and delight. What’s your ‘Happy Place’? I can create it for you, whether it’s a holiday destination, a favourite hobby, memory or photo, a scene from your favourite book, a lyric or somewhere you hope to go one day!

Each Happy Place can be framed in a beautiful deep box frame with glass, for display on the wall or a flat surface, or simply purchase as it is. The construction means it will happily stand on a shelf, desk or other flat surface - enabling you to pick it up and easily peek into all the nooks and crannies…maybe you will discover a hidden detail there!
