I'm a needle felter and photographer who loves taking photos of flowers, nature and wildlife. These feature in my felted work too especially animals. Highland cows and sheep are high up my top ten!
I started getting interested in digital photography a number of years ago, and being based in Belfast and Donaghadee, Northern Ireland, I am lucky that I live both close to the sea and the countryside, so whenever possible I head out with my camera to see what I can photograph. I usually come home with all sorts of goodies in my pockets - sea glass, beach pottery, acorn tops... which I incorporate into my work.
Having always been a keen gardener, I am now combining it with my photography. Many of my flower images are from plants I have grown - doubly satisfying!
On the days I can't get out, I work on my needle felting products. I love this - I find it so therapeutic - a welcome way to unwind. I'm also constantly adding new items to my gift products so keep checking my shop.
I occasionally do local craft fairs and I really enjoy meeting people - it never ceases to amaze me how nice people are. I sell my work at reasonable costs which probably does not take the time involved into account but I like to see it moving on to new homes and making people smile.

Loved this felty snowdrop - sent it to my elderly mum so she would know I was thinking of her and that spring will come eventually. She has very limited vision so I like to send textured things she can feel with her fingers . She liked it very much

This was a birthday gift for a bird loving friend. Nicola was great at communicating with me and it arrived in good time, was well packaged and the finished item was absolutely lovely! Will definitely buy again.
