The environment is incredibly important to me - I live and work in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. I believe we should all do whatever we can to make a difference - however small.
That’s why my British Bird range is printed on 100% ECF primary fibre from sustainable forests (FSC® Mix Credit) and has been Carbon Offset by World Land Trust.
All my gift wrap, cards and tags have been printed to high environmental standards by my partner Adrian at The Lavenham Press in Suffolk.
They use ink made from vegetable based oils on my gift wrap - with no nasty coatings or glitter! All my gift wrap, greetings cards and tags are printed on paper and card from sustainable sources and are fully recyclable or compostable.
I work on my own allotment and visit gardens whenever I can, being inspired by their beautiful flowers and plants!
Everything is designed entirely by me! I do all the 'hand finishing' myself at home - cutting, punching, folding, threading, packing...
I trained and worked as a Graphic Designer for over 20 years - during which time I started to develop my own style of illustration using vector art programmes on the Apple Macintosh. I use an iPad and Affinity Designer to create my illustrations.
Surface Pattern Design is my passion - I love seeing my designs repeat endlessly, on paper or fabric.
My giftware range is printed in the UK by Creative Forge in Jarrow.
I also jointly own and manage The Handmade Shop & Gallery in Bury St Edmunds. Which is a group of hand picked talented East Anglian artists who jointly stock and run the Gallery on a day-to-day basis. It's kind of like a 'bricks and mortar' style Folksy!
I have been featured in many local and national publications, and sell my products wholesale to quality independent gift shops and galleries in the UK.
When I'm not creating new designs, or looking after my family and beautiful black rescue cat called Evie, I can often be found at my allotment, fighting the never ending battle against the weeds!
