Unique designs burnt onto wood and made in Cornwall

Hi I'm Helen and I love wood! I have lived here in Cornwall now for 11 years and take my inspiration from the beauty of nature around me, whether that be from the animals, countryside or the ocean which surround my home.

My craft, pyrography is the burning of designs into wood and I now tend to specialise in coasters, portraits and commissions as well as larger sized plaques which could be used as place mats in tableware sets or put on the wall as pictures. It is up to you! In fact I am very happy to apply designs on different sizes and shapes of wood, so please let me know what suits. I try to work with natural wood and love the rustic look.

I began my craft after attending a local class one afternoon and from there I taught myself. I now take part in many local craft fairs but I work from a studio in my mother's back garden from where I can sit quietly burning whilst listening to the birds and nature outside the door. It is a very peaceful and tranquil place.
