Bumble Bee

Hi I have a passion for carving, grown over 30 years. Initially using chisels but now chainsaws as well to create larger pieces. For me it is a slow and steady process, firstly observing and understanding the creature or person, drawing and finally carving. I like carvings to feel alive, I imagine what the creature or person is doing, what they are feeling. It needs to tell a story, an old pig struggling to get up, Neptune straining to see the dolphin he's sent to his lover, a bumble bee buzzing happily to the next flower. As a viewer you will just see a carving that looks alive. I create carvings that interact with there surroundings, a carved owl on the fence post with his head turned to see you as come into the garden, as though he has just noticed you. I create pieces that add life to peoples homes and gardens.

Delighted with my Bumble Bee which is happily sipping nectar in my garden - currently in the heather bed. It is a lovely carving, Can't imagine how something so delicate is achieved with a chain-saw. My purchase arrived promptly and was carefully packed. Excellent service, thank you.
