My privacy policy

We Danielle Hall and Nicola Malia are the data-controllers of your personal information as it relates to our shop.

When you place an order from us, we will receive your name, delivery address and email address from Folksy. We will only use these details to process and deliver your order, or deal with any queries you have related to that order. If you send us a message using the contact button on Folksy, we will receive your username and email address.

The only circumstances in which we will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. We will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which we may share your data are:

• With Folksy to comply with my obligations.

• With Royal Mail to fulfil your order.

• To comply with legal or tax obligations.

We will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and we will securely store any data collected during that period. We retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time we will delete your data from our records.

You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way we handle your data.

About Violet Blossom Jewellery

Two friends designing and making sterling silver jewellery in the heart of the Midlands

We're Danielle and Nicola and we met in 2006 (friends for over ten years so she isn't getting rid of me now LOL). We both studied at Birmingham City University's School of Jewellery and quickly found that our strengths and styles complimented each other perfectly. We like to make our sterling silver jewellery using a balance of traditional techniques and modern design processes.

I live with my soon to be husband and our rather daft springer spaniel in Wolverhampton. I'm a Design Technology teacher currently specialising in Hospitality and Catering so I love nothing more than heading to our workshop (Nic's house) and making some gorgeous jewellery with a glass of wine after a tough week of marking and planning. I'm inspired by nature and the outdoors and use lots of organic forms in the designs I create.

Nicola lives just round the corner from me with her husband Tom and is an Early Years Teaching Assistant and Mommy to the beautiful Millie. Nicola loves geometric shapes and pattern so you'll have no problem distinguishing which of us created which jewellery collection. Nicola is a fabulous jewellery maker and she has patience enough for the two of us when creating delicate saw pierced pieces and careful soldering set ups.

Our little business has grown from us doing favours for friends and family into a successful venture which now features at several big craft fairs in the West Midlands. Our customers are very important to us and we'll happily go the extra mile to create a piece that will be cherished for a lifetime.
