Hello everyone,
Much of my work reflects on our integral, sometimes ambivalent relationship with the natural world with a slight nod to folklore and fairytale. I'm fascinated by the restorative power of wild places and the spiritual and mystical aspects that they can bring to our lives. I'm lucky to live on the edge of Snowdonia/Eryri in North Wales/Gogledd Cymru with amazing countryside all around - beaches, rugged coastline, mountains, ancient woodlands and of course Celtic folktales. I studied with Welsh artist Peter Prendergast in my twenties and am inspired by the work of wonderful Welsh artists such as Brenda Chamberlain, Gwilym Pritchard and Claudia Williams. I feel art should touch your heart in some way and hopefully, bring a little joy.
