Hi, my name is Jay
I'm a single mum to 4 amazing grown up children, 4 beautiful grandchildren & 2 little dogs.
I've always loved doing arts and crafts from a small child and come from a very creative family.

I can turn my hand to most crafts but really enjoy making jewellery out of resin and beads. I also enjoy sewing, designing bags for life, making bedding for my dogs crates and so much more. I repaint garden ornaments, turning them from old and shabby to colourful and fun.

I currently work full time as a Support Worker with ladies coming out of the criminal justice system, supporting them in readjusting to life outside of prison, teaching them basic life skills, recovery around substance misuse and Trauma Informed learning.
I facilitate and run Scrapbook Journaling and Creative Art Therapy groups for the ladies and absolutely love watching them creating things they never thought they could. Their achievements are truly incredible and inspirational.

I would eventually like to be able to reduce my hours at work to concentrate on on my crafts. I suffer from wide spread Osteoarthritis (among lots of other conditions) which is painful 24/7 but when having a flare up makes working super hard, even getting out of bed on those mornings for an 8am start is a massive challenge. Hence wishing I could drop those hours.
