About The Stitchin' Witch

The Stitchin' Witch

Using my hook, needles and a little witchy flair, I create stylish and cosy accessories and clothing.

My mum taught me the basics of knitting when I was 18 and expecting my eldest daughter. It took me 3 months to knit my first baby jacket. The white wool was pale black by the time I had ripped the jacket out umpteen times, started again and finally finished. Once washed the lacey white jacket appeared and I was a confirmed knitter. I taught myself to crochet in my twenties, and was immediately 'hooked'. Needless to say, my other hobby is buying yarn. There are so many beautiful types of yarn available and they inspire me to create lovely things. I live in Aberdeen Scotland and belong to the Focus craft group there. We hold craft fairs throughout Aberdenshire between March and December. I love these fairs, it's great to chat to visitors from around the world and to fellow crafters.. I'm retired and in my 'spare' time I love reading - crime fiction and historical novels top my list. Sadly I don't have any pets as I live in rented accommodation.
