I create one-of-a-kind handmade notebooks and artworks by blending traditional marbling art with contemporary design.

Hi, I’m Mavi, an artist and maker based in Dumfries, Scotland. I create handmade Ebru marbled notebooks and small Ebru artworks, blending the traditional Turkish art of Ebru with contemporary forms and materials.

I was inspired by the fluidity and unpredictability of marbling, which feels like capturing a moment of nature on paper. I started experimenting with Ebru while looking for a mindful, creative practice, and quickly fell in love with its meditative and unique qualities.

All of my pieces are handmade in my home studio, where I carefully marbled each sheet and hand-bound every notebook. I love connecting with people who value thoughtful, art-led objects that bring beauty to everyday life.

When I’m not marbling, I enjoy exploring Scottish nature, walking by the rivers and hills near Dumfries, and spending time with my family.
