Look What Lynne Made£5.00
Hi, my name’s Lynne and I’m the creator of Look What Lynne Made. I started sewing in 2019 with a view to mending clothes and making a few items as presents. Then Lockdown hit and I kept myself busy by making hundreds of masks for friends and the local community, and gowns for NHS staff. After a couple of years of making items for myself, friends and family I had lots of people saying I should sell them, so in January 2024 I decided to take the plunge and start my small business.
I’m lucky enough to have my own sewing room in my family home where I love to hide away and create beautiful items for my customers. I make a wide variety of bags and purses as well as accessories such as key rings and lanyards, and homeware like storage baskets and bunting. I’m always looking at what bags people are using and talking with customers about what they need, so I can find or amend a pattern.
I use a lot of upholstery fabric remnants from local businesses. This prevents them from going to landfill and supports others at the same time. I also upcycle jeans that may have ripped but still have lots of life left in them and make off cuts of fabrics into small pouches to ensure as little as possible is wasted.
