I am a botanical oil pianter with a deep love for colour, texture and the natural world. My work is inspired by the expressive beauty of flowers, bold, layered and full of movement. Each painting I create is built up with rich oils and intuitive brushwork. I also use a palette knife to create a sculptural 3D effect. My paintings never sit still, always arguing with gravity.

From these original paintings I carefully select sections that translate beautifully into print, transforming them into vibrant, wearable pieces of art. Each tote bag features a detail taken directly from one of my oil paintings and carries the same name as the original piece, creating a meaningful connection between the artwork and the item you hold.

My bags are designed to be both beautiful and practical. They are eco-freindly, durable and fully washable, made from tear resistant fabric my bags are made to be used and enjoyed every day. At just £24 each they offer an acessible way to carry original art with you wherever you go.

Every tote also includes a photo of the full painting it came from so you can see the artwork in its entirety and feel part of its story.

I have sold over 2000 bags at craft markets and it's been a joy to see them travel far and wide with customers across the world. Knowing my work becomes part of people's everyday lives is incredibly rewarding.

Each piece is unique and every bag carries not just a design but a small piece of my artistic journey.

Jane Thompson is a botanical oil painter who mainly paints with a palette knife. Her passion for art started early in her childhood and continued throughout her life. She draws inspiration from the beauty of nature and creates stunning paintings that capture the essence of her subjects. Jane's goal is to use oil paint, vibrant colours and texture to describe her fascination with flowers. Her art is recognised for her unique style and technique. Jane's mission is to share her love of art with you all and inspire others to appreciate the beauty of nature through her paintings.

Tote bag art

Jane's art on a tote bag to start with was just for fun, but the demand to purchase the tote bags became very high.

As she paints she is always creating new designs and each tote bag takes a name from the original oil painting.

In honour of her father, all of her paintings are signed Janey on the front. Her father was the only one to call her Janey.
