House of Beeves was born after I inherited a load of craft stuff after my mum passed away prematurely. She was about to move in with us so we already had her new craft station set up and ready to go (something she had insisted upon before agreeing to join us!). After about 6 months of staring at I decided to have a go - if only to try and complete some of her many half finished projects). I had to watch YouTube tutorials even to learn how to thread the sewing machine! But I haven’t looked back since. Prior to this I was a midwife for 15years - but a combination of things (another story) meant I gave it up around 6 months ago - and House of Beeves was born. It makes me feel so close to my mum - has me realising how much creativity I had in me - and is generally super good for my mental health.
