Welcome to Fiddlesticks by Sylvia.

If you can believe it, my passion for yarn related crafts began at the age of six (which I'll admit is probably not normal!) I'm surprised I wasn't born holding a ball of yarn and a crochet hook although I seriously doubt my mother would have appreciated that - ouch!

Later on, I focused my attention on raising my four beautiful daughters, each one of them so creatively gifted although strangely, they never developed the crochet bug - now why is that I ask myself? Makes me question if they're really my children!

Now that they're all grown up I can once again pour myself into all things yarn related (guilt free!).By now, the family is used to a house full of yarn every which way they turn and finding their mum predictably sat at the kitchen table where I work on writing up amigurumi patterns. They've also come to accept sharing dinner time with all manner of curious creatures in various stages of development on the kitchen table next to their plates!

But, nothing gives me greater pleasure than creating something special which in turn hopefully brings joy to others and that really makes my heart smile xx
