About Felt by Lady Jane

Felt by Lady Jane

Play with wool and stuff.

Took early retirement from teaching and moved to the seaside in late October 2021. Looking to try new things and make some friends , I found a needle felting class that was a lot more successful than the crochet class I tried. Got hooked and didn’t draw too much blood in the process. After felting a rather unique looking owl I decided 2D was the way to go. So now I ‘create’ land and seascapes mostly from my imagination and photos taken in and around North Wales.
I live a 10 min walk from the beach with my partner. We’ve been here nearly 5 years, mostly retired, he is, I’m not but my work is in a beautiful NT gardens cafe and far less stressful than teaching Year 6 which was my previous life in the land locked East Midlands.
We are still finishing renovations on a 1960’s bungalow and wrap around garden but loving the life.
I work in the kitchen diner as the craft room doesn’t exist yet and have decided to make a go at selling at the insistence of a close friend.
