About Doodle&Dab

Doodle&Dab

No stone left behind, I am a maker of all things pebble, rock and shell!

Hi there! I'm Lizzie and I love doodling on stuff like pebbles, slate, rock and shells. I work from my home in Kingston-upon-Thames, where I live with my husband, two teenage sproggs and two of the fluffiest cats known to man.

Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved sifting through pebbles and shells on the beach and now whenever I come across a pebble, my first thought is, "what could this be?". "No stone left behind" is my motto because, for me, all the natural materials I use are perfect for something, never mind the odd lump or bump. I like to give all things a chance, be they pebbly, rocky, slatey, shelly (not Shelly, she probably wouldn't like being painted on). Although I'm not so much into gravel and definitely don't do grains of sand (would lose them) or boulders (tricky to post).

My handpainted creations make unique, sustainable gifts, whether you choose a whimsical pebble family or a decorated scallop shell. My support pebble range can be used as comfort aids, as they fit nicely in the palm or pocket, they're not too fiddly, not too heavy and they're nice to hold. And they all need holding. They're friendly like that.
