We are small professional joinery shop borne out of over 100 years and four generations of experience, working on period, historic and listed building on the south coast of England and the Isle of Wight. Our work required the manufacture of many forms of joinery, from direct replacements of doors and windows, to all other types of traditional joinery.
Our previous work included undertaking all aspects of construction, stone masonry, ground works, electrical and plumbing. We specialized in the refurbishment and conversion of existing buildings, these being either repurposed for alternate use or restored to their former glory.
Now since 2022 we focus on providing joinery and carpentry services across the Isle of Wight and the production of one off pieces of furniture and kitchen wares for sale from our online shop.
We are also fortunate that our family owns an historic ancient broadleaf woodland that once formed part of Queen Victoria’s Osborne Estate. The woodland contains the carriage way that once linked Osborne House with Whippingham Train Station, this carriage way was for the use of the Queens ministers of state when attending the Queen. The carriage way was lined with majestic oaks, many of which survive to this day. We believe that truly sustainable woodland should, for the greater part, self-regenerate, and the timber we use is confined to good woodland management and not wholesale felling.
Commissioned and Bespoke pieces may, subject to design and timber selection, include timber from our own woodland.
We have created our own Woodlands Collection, these are items designed and created by us using our own timber grown on the Isle of Wight, these can viewed and purchased here once listed on the site.
