Hi there, I am Denise Skwarczylo an artist from midlothian in scotland specialising in painting and drawing. I do like a dabble in other mediums too.

At Denise's Doodle Den you will find an eclectic mix of original one off artworks. From paintings on canvass of all shapes and sizes, paintings and drawings on paper in cardboard mounts ready for your own frame. Wooden coasters, sets and singles. Hanging shell decorations and trinket dishes, wooden and clay hanging decorations and xmas tree baubles.

I am also available for custom work, I work well from photographs. I can reproduce your photos onto wooden coasters also. Feel free to contact me to discuss this option.

I have had a love of art from a young age, winning some competitions in school, with a drawing of old miners lamps being chosen to hang in the then newly built scottish parliment.
I studied Contemporary Art in Edinburgh and graduated with a Higher National diploma.
I am mostly inspired by nature and landscapes and also love the whimsical and atmospheric. My surroundings of midlothian and Edinburgh are a big inspiration in my work aswell as plants and my garden. My work is usually bright, I really love colour but my friends and family say " if it stays still long enough, theres a chance Denise will paint it."
