Most of the pens I make are turned from interesting British woods sourced from fallen trees on large estates. I get a lot of pleasure turning pens and discovering the patterns within the wood as it takes shape. Although similar in shape each one is individual. The pens are finished with melamine and finally a coat of wax. This offers protection but also maintains a connection to the wood and the pen remains very tactile in the hand.
