I am Fiona Elliot. Mum to a grown up son, Danny, who lives in Las Vegas, and wife to Ash.
I love to travel, so much so, that I bought a beautiful little casa, near Alicante, Spain. Ash and I head off there as often as we can for a little bit of R&R and to escape everyday stresses! The plus point is I am often inspired by the light and colours of Spanish life, and I gain many health benefits for my Rheumatoid Arthritis.
I believe everyone has a creative flair, but some people aren't confident or even lucky enough to indulge their passion.
I would not have, had I not fallen poorly and been forced, so to speak, to reassess my priorities by taking a slower paced lifestyle.
Now I can't wait to get everyday stuff out of the way so I can escape into my craft room and lose hours at a time blissfully happy!
My Mum who has always had a variety of hobbies taught me how to pour paint and I became hooked.
I have a sense of peace and calm in mind and body whilst creating my paintings. I love how each painting speaks differently to each individual person and I love for others to smile and be happy looking at my paintings.
You tube, and it's featured artists/ craft people has also been a source of inspiration.
I attend any class I can at our local craft store to learn new skills and to meet other makers and share thoughts and ideas as working alone can be lonely sometimes.
I often hold an open house party for friends and family to view my paintings which is also very good for honest feedback!!
And have attended a few craft fairs, my health on the day permitting.
So, I am very excited about my Folksy Shop, ART4U, and I hope I convey my love, happiness and passion for my art....
