Hello, I'm Angie, an author and illustrator in Pembrokeshire. Since I was a child I have loved nature, especially insects and wildflowers, and spent a long time getting to know each one, through sketching and research. If you watch them closely enough, their little characters emerge and develop. Most of my illustrations and paintings are inspired by nature and the characterisation of birds, mammals, insects, and even flowers. My favourite media is watercolour, but I also create my own inks and paints from plants, rocks and soil.
Before becoming an illustrator, I was a textile artist, focusing on felt and knitted pieces. I still keep my hand in from time to time. I love spinning, particularly local fibres if I can get my hands on them.
And that is what you will find in this store.
