About Two Little Cats Jewellery Design

Two Little Cats Jewellery Design

Handmade jewellery for the witchy, the whimsical & the cat lovers

I'm a self-taught jewellery enthusiast living in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales with my 6 cats. I've been making wire jewellery for about 12 years now. I've always been interested in arts and crafts since I was a young girl. Some of the hobbies I have tried out include card making, cross stitching, calligraphy, drawing, painting and of course jewellery making!

The progression from wire wrapping to smithing was a daunting prospect. I attended weekend workshops at the York School of Jewellery before diving in & investing in all the tools and equipment. Nick & Julie are extremely knowledgable in their fields & tutoring students. After completing my first project, a sterling silver ring, I felt confident enough to continue my journey on my own.

Since I first began smithing, I now have pieces stocked at the Teal Heart Gallery in Bedale, North Yorkshire & have branched out to doing in person fairs across Yorkshire & the North East.

My biggest event of the year was trading at the UK’s first ever Renaissance Faire in Kent - I was incredibly nervous as I struggle with in person events as a neurodiverse person, but I needn’t have worried as everyone there was so lovely.

My most popular items are stacker rings; they’re fun to make and there is usually something for everyone to enjoy. I am branching out with different styles of rings & I am hoping to up my polishing game over the coming year. I will also be working on some simple pendants for everyday wear and more statement pieces laden with gemstones.

When it comes to gemstones, the saying "quality over quantity" rings true. I look to source individual gemstones to use in my pendants from reputable sellers rather than buy in bulk and be disappointed when a portion of the stones do not meet my expectations.

I hope this has answered any questions you may have about the origins of Two Little Cats and the feelings and desires that go into making these pendants. If you have any further questions, please send me a message!
