Melanie is an artist from the UK. She was born and raised in South Manchester where she continues to live with her husband, 2 children and her beloved Springer Spaniel.
She studied Textile Design at University before working as an Art Educator for 18 years in Secondary schools, sharing her passion for Art with the younger generation.
Melanie is passionate about colour. She loves the impact it has on people, including herself, and how it can positively affect our mood, feelings and behaviour. Through her folksy shop she hopes to share the joy and uplifting positivity she believes that colour brings to a space through her range of giclee fine art prints, greetings cards, cushions, chopping boards, and bags all featuring her colourful and vibrant original designs.

This is my second purchase from Melanie, and yet again the chopping board is stunning. I purchased it as a birthday present for my friend and I know it won't disappoint. I had a great shopping experience with Melanie - her communication was excellent, she was really helpful and answered all of my questions and queries. I purchased this as a last minute christmas present. The one I wanted wasn't available before christmas, so I bought one that was in stock. The parcel arrived quickly, it was well packaged, seller communication was excellent and it's beautiful. It's for an artist friend who has been looking for an arty chopping board for ages, so I know she is going to love it. The craftsmanship is first class and it was a great price.
