“Unique Glassware and Jewellery”
Hi, my name is Liz Fox, I am a glass artist based in the beautiful area of Torbay in Devon. I have been glass fusing for over 13 years and all glass jewellery, plates, coasters, suncatchers, pictures and more all are made with glass in my studio. I love learning about glass and the affects you can get from it, and have taken a few classes, but mostly I am self-taught, and it all started as a hobby.
The glass I use is designed especially for making unique jewellery and glass art pieces, dichroic glass works well in layers or just on their own and then there is all the lovely vibrant colours of the art glass.
Dichroic, iridised, frit, stringers, confetti (and more) glass are used to create my designs.
Dichroic glass gives a bit of sparkle, iridised a bit of shimmer, frit (pieces of glass from powder to coarse) can give texture, stringers and confetti can give that bit of fun, you can even get reactions from some glass that give lovely patterns. Due to the nature of glass no two items are identical although some can be similar - that's the beauty of fused glass.
Due to the nature of glass especially dichroic glass, it is very difficult to photograph as the colour changes depending on the direction of the light; If you like the piece on screen, I think that you will love the piece when you see it up close.
