My Folksy shop showcases a selection of my original artwork, as well as various items based on my designs (prints, cards etc) I am a self-taught artist, based in South West Scotland, where i work in my small, cosy and untidy studio. My paintings are usually in mixed media - I like to try and use whatever medium suits the atmosphere I am trying to create.
There are three distinct styles of my work available in my Folksy shop:
Paintings inspired by the natural world - often locations in either Scotland or Wales;
Illustrative work - I like the whimsical and quirky, and aim to raise a smile!
My newest venture, which follows on from illustration, is to create my own handbound books; either note/sketchbooks some of which feature my designs on the covers, or a limited selection of my own artwork in book form. This is an evolving category and, like the original paintings, each one is unique!

Oh yes - and I have six cats and a dog - who are great sources of inspiration!
