I am a self taught hobby wood-turner, and have been turning wood in my cellar since 2005. During the intervening years I have developed my skills, trying new ideas and making different items. I usually stand an outdoor market stall at the 'Yorkshire Food and Craft Market' on the last Saturday of the month in Ossett town centre, however am also listing my items on Folksy.
Since being young I have always made things. In my early teens I was given a 'Unimat' lathe for metal working by my grandad, and helped make small parts for model steam trains and traction engines he made. I enjoyed this and when I left school attempted to get an apprenticeship to further this interest, however was unsuccessful. For the last 30 years I have worked for Morrisons Supermarkets in a role that has no relation to my interests.

Bought this for my dad for his toothpicks and he's very happy with it, it's a lovely, useful, and very tactile item. Mathew was so helpful as well when I asked him to delay posting. I'd definitely buy from GreenMan again.
