My printmaking is about producing High Quality, Original Prints - on beautiful paper - AffordableArt - in the form of a Keepsake-Card - not ‘Just’ a Card, but a Gorgeous Tangible Gift, personalised with your handwritten message (they’re blank inside) - Long lasting, a tranquil contrast to today’s frenzied digitally written ephemera

I adore printmaking & love colour. My methods & processes are planet friendly & sustainable with almost zero waste - I print in small editions with the intention that my original artworks, in the form of a hand crafted card, are destined to be treasured by your recipients & not to end up in land-fill.

My current printmaking became governed by a very small print room. It steered and changed my thinking about my work, the cards in particular. I’ve discovered a pleasing benefit in working small, it’s more sustainable and allows me to keep printmaking - It’s also a challenge! I never print more than 20 cards at a time and each time I revisit a print I get to tweak and improve it, which is a delight. It keeps older designs alive & fresh.

I build my own Lino blocks which I cut with my fave old cutters (The Image) & typeset metal moveable type (The Text) on exquisite, soft tactile Artist-paper. Each image is hand-inked & hand-printed by me using my small, yet amazing, 170yr Old Iron Hand Press. An inking roller in my hand is a familiar natural extension. Hand inking is the soul of my printmaking
