About EightBitTony

EightBitTony

I relax by turning hardwood items on my lathe in my shed, where it's usually either too cold or too hot.

I find wood turning relaxing and yet it requires intense focus at the same time. That ensures that the worries of the world evaporate while I'm creating something. I love making bowls from all kinds and sizes of wood, I don't make anything to a real plan and let the wood tell me what shape it wants to be.

Eventually, you can't keep all the stuff you make for yourself, and so I'm selling the pieces I'm proud of here.

I'm married, we have a couple of cats, and I turn in the shed. No one told me wood turning would require so much tidying and cleaning.
