“Handcrafted Artistry”
I am a self-employed independent Illustrator and textile designer located in the remote wildness of Shetland
My artwork is inspired by my location and my adventures.
Since gaining my degree in 'Contemporary Textiles’ I have created original designs in my studio in Shetland for both paper products and textiles.
I begin my creative process by generating original digital artwork using both traditional drawing and computerised methods. To enrich my imagery I apply a limited colour palette perfecting my unique style. I am influenced by my love of the screen-print aesthetic.
My key concern is to create unique gifts that appeal not only for their originality but also for my careful consideration in sourcing raw materials for their quality and where possible for their eco-friendly accreditation.

Great communication from Monica. The beautiful print arrived very quickly through post in a do not bend envelope. Was celloephane wrapped and string tied with addition blank gift tag of the same print. Just Perfect!
