My privacy policy

I Christine Jopling am the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to my shop.

When you place an order from me, I will receive your name, delivery address and email address from Folksy. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order, or deal with any queries you have related to that order. If you send me a message using the contact button on Folksy, I will receive your username and email address.

The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:

• With Folksy to comply with my obligations.

• With delivery companies to fulfil your order.

• To comply with legal or tax obligations.

I will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time I will delete your data from my records.

You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.

In addition to my own privacy policy, if you pay for your order with Paypal, your data will be protected by PayPal's privacy policy.

Hello! This is me (above) at a rare pop-up shop appearance at Nomadic Brewery Tap Room!

I’m a Yorkshire based illustrator, renowned for wobbly-lined ink and watercolour style, but more increasingly for boldly coloured graphic canvases.

Inspired by Bob Godfrey, Ronald Searle and Quentin Blake, but also by sweetie wrappers, nightclub flyers and 1970s album covers, my work combines an eye for detail and a gentle humour.

Subjects include anything from beloved British birds to beer bottles and farmyard animals to aliens, reflecting a love of the landscape and revealing a bit of an active imagination.

More recently I've been getting my hands mucky enjoying the satisfying art of lino cutting - my Christmas Cards are available as the season approaches...

I hope you like the original paintings you see here - if you do like the look of something but would like it ‘customised’, I’m happy to paint something new for you. See my website - www.christinejopling.com - for examples. A sketch will always be made available for approval before any work begins, along with a price. Likewise, if you’d like anything with a personal name or message added to it, please feel free to contact me and ask. No job too small or crazy!

You'll see from my listings that all prints and handmade cards are created using recycled card. I'm aiming to go plastic-free, so I'll use up any cellophane bags I have and then greetings cards will all arrive naked! Also, packaging is reused or recycled so please don't expect beauty and perfection - there is no Planet B!

What a wonderful purchase from the loveliest of sellers! The package arrived promptly with a handwritten, personal message from the seller on a postcard and a cute sticker - these little extras remind me why I love Folksy, supporting the talented creators and that real connection that sadly is so rare these days. Highly recommended.
